

ON THE MOVE
The mission of ON THE MOVE is to help people maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve health outcomes, especially to reduce obesity and chronic disease in Barnes County. We work through policy, systems and environment change, as well as programming in the areas of nutrition and physical activity.

2023 Community Classes
City-County Health District will offer Diabetes Prevention Program in 2023. If you are interested in attending this year-long program, please call 845-8518 for more information or view more information online.

The mobile cooking cart project was funded by a three-year federal outreach grant that City County Health District (CCHD) received in 2018 with the goal of combating childhood obesity. The project was a collaboration between CCHD, Valley City Public School and NDSU Extension. One focus of the grant was to enhance the availability of healthy foods in schools.
